Since we are celebrating it, we should know some of its history,

St. Valentine's Day
One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.
According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today.

The Day the Birds Began to Mate
The Europeans also believed that on February 14th the birds began to choose their mates. The Christian tradition of drawing names on St. Valentine's Eve continued in England and other places. The tradition of birds choosing their mates on St. Valentine's Day led to the idea that boys and girls would do the same. Now when a youth drew a girl's name, he wore it on his sleeve, and attended and protected her during the following year. This made the girl his valentine and they exchanged love tokens throughout the year. Later this was changed to only men giving love tokens to females, usually without names but signed "with St. Valentine's Love."

well...just to add on...for today,we had p.e.gotta run 2 rounds in e school,and then some played soccer and some played c'ball.

b theres one time...WEI CHEN n KAI JIN challenge for the hula hoop thingy.It was so damn FUNNY!(didn't know that they can really do it:lhaha...)

then...it was CHARISMA...all are in groups writting about the quality skills for bla blla...and when it comes to wei chen's group...evrything sounded so WRONG!haha...dunno wad oral here oral there...>.<...haha...bt it was really funny.one more thing,mrs long told us that she failed her driving test just because of the reversing thingy...kena knock 2 times...haiz...wad can i say...this is really then called 'suayness'

Physics was as usual...do the ws thingy...and then mr gan got a message frm ms K and told our class to present a 5 min presentation for the survival pack thingy...hehe...not bad eh....we've got 25/25 points! (:..

Chem....not much...mrs tan kinda scolded us for not bringing our SPA file...well...so class....PLEasePLEAse bring ure SPA file...

Maths...Mdm tay didnt cum to school today.Some relief guy teacher came...and the way he scold ah...its lyk so fierce sia...

LASTLY,chinese,mdm seow told us we've got 2nd for our chinese deco thingy...haiz...its alright.well...IT dunno dunno how,they will always beat us...since last year.haha...Bt i'm really happy that our class so far has won 2 AWARDS!!!!yay!...haha....not a bad begining eh...^^ then we did newspaper thingy...

Chem AGAIn...mrs tan was late today,thought our class released at 145.lol.well...so...got back our graph.Oy a!she kinda promise us to give use CHOCOLATES!!!haha....

after lunch,there was maths test.it should be an 'okay'paper ba...and the lady teacher was kinda funny just now.She told us about the mistakes from the ppr and everyone was lyk WASTE TIME AH....haha...

so...that's all for today!n...for hw:we had physics ws page 7&8,finish up chem ws on periodic table,and lots of a mths questions..yep that's all...
